Monster DUB Edition

The Monster DUB is a very recent addition to the Monster collection, and brings some very new things to the table. It smells like a mix of cherry cough medicine with a tinge of green apple. It's sight is rather remarkable, as far as Monster goes. It is a translucent burgundy, very similar to a nice red wine. The taste varies depending on the drink and possibly the temperature conditions it sits in before opening. In hot weather, it tastes strongly like apple with a tint of grape, and in cold temperature, it is very much strawberry. Over all, this is a very different drink that has a different color, and has a mixture of flavors, being apply, cherry, strawberry, and grape. This was rated as a 7 out of 10, but not recommended as a "first Monster" drink.

Monster M-80

The M-80 is a personal favorite of Kaelin, however, I personally do not like it as much. The smell of the drink is a very strong, sweet pineapple with a tip of orange. For the sight, it has a very light beer color, slightly urine-like. Again, the Monster trademark. The taste is basically what the smell is, except that the pineapple is taken over by many different tropical flavors such as papaya, mango, tangerine, and orange. Overall this is a very good drink. It is also very powerful.

Monster Import

Monster Imports are AMAZING! Such a huge improvement from the original Monster. Originally made for Monster Army, hence the artwork for the Monster symbol is the same as the Army emblem. The smell of an Import is slightly more bitter than the Original. The color of this drink is the urine Monster trademark. The taste of this drink, however, is absolutely amazing and completely original, like nothing else you've ever tasted. It also has quite a kick for energy.

NOS Fruit Punch

This is our review for the NOS Fruit Punch. The sight of this drink can vary from dark to light, if not close to clear red. Personally, I like that about this drink, however it doesn't determine in any way what the taste may be. It seems that NOS does an extremely good job at making everything about the Fruit Punch vary, which in the case of taste, isn't all that good. The taste can change from bitter to sweet, but if you're lucky you can get a drink that's absolutely perfect and has a tangy fruit flavor with a bite at the end, making you crave more. To end with the smell, it's pretty consistent and plain, tasting simply like fruit punch.

Monster Mixxd

This is our post for the Monster Mixxd. First for the smell; It has been dubbed, by us, as a "virgin red wine". The color flows into the glass, displaying that Monster Mixxd is just like every other monster, with a very ugly brown/yellow tint. The flavor is eccentric, as monster says on the can, "we took a bunch of our back-up flavors, tossed'em together...F-NA it's a masterpiece". Well, these "back-up flavors" are as follows: grape, strawberry, low flavor of orange, almost undetected, and a bitter Cinnamon-like flavor.

Monster Khaos

We will be talking about the Monster Khaos. This was Kaelin and my first energy drink we've ever had, and is still one of our favorite. To start, the smell of this drink is like orange juice on steroids. Frankly, it smells completely over powered. Unfortunately, we now have to talk about the color. If any of you have ever seen what a monster looks like, then you've really seen them all. Almost all Monster energy drinks, excluding the Monster Nitrouses, look like darkened urine. The taste, however, is amazing. It tastes like a natural orange flavor doused with caffiene, with a warm lemon to top it off.

Full Throttle Blue Demon

Today we will be talking about the Full Throttle Blue Demon. The look of this energy drink is indigo and very transparent seeming. The smell of this energy drink is like a agave fruit, and it happens to be an ingredient in the drink. It has almost like an "after smell" of "Zebra" Blue Gum.
The taste is, surprise surprise, blue raspberry. It is a tart, artificial blue raspberry with a bitter after taste. Yet, surprisingly addicting.
This is also conveniently a flavor for 7-Eleven Slurpees.

Jolt Blue Raspberry

Well this is our first post on an energy drink. We will be talking about the Jolt Blue Raspberry. To start, this is one of mine and Kaelin's favorite energy drinks because of its unique taste. Even though there are no other drinks good enough to compare to the blue raspberry flavor.
To start with the drink, we'll talk about its color. Since most, if not all, energy drinks are opaque on the outside, you do not get to see the color of the actual drink. In some cases, this may be a good thing, because a lot of energy drinks have the color of beer or urine. This drink, however, has an ocean blue translucent color. Next is the smell. The smell of this Jolt is very subtle and sweet. As Kaelin says, it's like walking past a cotton candy machine at the fair.
Now the most important part: the taste. It's an unartificial blue raspberry taste. It doesn't taste like candy, and it is very smooth yet simple.

In the process

Kaelin and I will post drinks up later as we taste all of our energy drinks over again. We're doing this just to ensure that all of our posts are fresh from our taste buds. We will also post up recipes of energy drinks that we've bootlegged before. Check the events sections of our blog to find out when any major tastings will be held.
